About the CEMEX-TEC Award

Founded in 2011 by CEMEX and the Tecnológico de Monterrey University, the CEMEX-TEC Award seeks to promote projects with high social impact, connect communities with agents of change and promote creativity in the search for solutions to present and future challenges.

In order to achieve this objective, the CEMEX-TEC Award recognizes, year after year, high-impact proposals and projects in the areas of sustainable development, entrepreneurship and social innovation. These initiatives can be postulated by social entrepreneurs, higher and postgraduate students or organizations.

During the 8 years of the Award, more than 2,700 projects from 32 countries have applied to the award, and 116 social impact initiatives have been awarded, who have received seed capital, training and network opportunities with relevant actors of the ecosystem (entrepreneurs, investors, accelerators, mentors ...).
